Keynote Adam Booth! Adam Booth (he/him) is the 2022 West Virginia Folk Artist of the Year, awarded at the Governor’s Arts Awards. Adam blends traditional mountain folklore, music, and an awareness of contemporary Appalachia to create original, forward-thinking story artistry. LEARN MORE
Year One Sessions include Introduction to Arts Integration, Yoga, Making a Cartoon Mini-book, Mask Making, Ceramics, Dance, Introduction to Dramatic Interpretation, and Visual Arts with Cultural Connections. Plus meeting and planning with your artist!
Year Two Sessions include Dance as Storytelling, Visual Arts with Cultural Connections, Keynote Adam Booth, Ceramics, and Reflection through Drama. Plus meeting and planning with your artist!

The Center for Puppetry Arts Atlanta! Join the Center for Puppetry Arts to explore puppetry as an engaging and powerful classroom tool! Participants will enjoy a fun warm up that activates bodies and brains, discover the diverse styles of puppetry, learn the basics of puppet manipulation, and be inspired by a wide variety of low cost puppets for the classroom. These experiences will allow participants to leave with the basic tools they need to bring puppets into their teaching and learning environments.

Thanks to the generosity of the South Carolina Arts Commission, and the TD Center for Arts Integration, the SmartARTS Education Institute is provided for up to 85 Greenville County Teachers and up to 30 teaching artists at the low cost of $25 per person including daily lunch, beverages, PD materials, t-shirt, and art supplies.
